Over the past few years, I’ve been blessed to have the opportunity to work with dozens of schools and help them implement technology to keep students engaged.
I remember the first time I visited one of these campuses. The school IT administrator brought me back into the server room and explained the thinking behind how he had set up all the racks of equipment he used to keep the school connected. Then, he walked me through the halls to look at the Chromebooks and interactive displays being used in the classroom. In that short time, how I think about education technology changed forever.
It was a moment that stretched me to think critically about how every technology decision must be made with care to create a seamless technology experience in K12 schools. Thankfully, I was able to repay the favor by helping him secure some grant funding during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Since that first school walkthrough, it has been a whirlwind of non-stop work on K12 technology projects.
