Why did Viking Global sell all its Microsoft shares? What does it mean for the future of the technology market?

As a Microsoft business partner, I have had the opportunity to be on the front lines of Microsoft’s artificial intelligence market entrance.

Back in May of 2023, I saw one of Microsoft’s first demos of Co-Pilot at a private trade show for resale partners. I immediately knew that this software would be a game-changer for the industry.

Over the next few months, nobody knew what Co-Pilot was when I would mention it. Now, in the past few months, Co-Pilot has stormed the market and has become one of the most highly sought-after artificial intelligence products for business.

Why Sell a Winning Stock?

It would seem that Microsoft is stronger now than it has ever been:

  • The launch of Co-Pilot has entrenched Microsoft as the leader in enterprise artificial intelligence.
  • Microsoft is rapidly stealing market share from Google in the education segment.
  • Microsoft stock has been on an incredible bull run for over a year.
